Parent Support/Coaching
Supporting a child or teen can be especially challenging when they are going through developmental transitions, periods of increased stress, and when they are struggling with mental health difficulties and/or behavioural dysregulation. I provide parent coaching/consultation drawing on emotion- and attachment-focused principles to help parents build the skills and confidence to effectively manage these challenges, and strengthen the parent-child connection.
Consultation
Short-term, focused support to help parents or caregivers better understand a child's emotional, behavioural or developmental needs. Rather than ongoing therapy, consultation involves one or a few sessions aimed at clarifying concerns, answering specific questions and offering professional insight. Families often seek consultation for help with understanding assessment results, clarifying a child's learning, or emotional profile or gaining direction about appropriate next steps.
